The orchards have historic varieties of apple, pear and plum trees together with a rich ground flora including Wild Daffodils and Lesser Celandine.
The old walled garden is now being managed as a wild-flower meadow and provides another wildlife habitat and colourful array of native wild-flowers, including Wild Red Poppy, Common Spotted and Northern Marsh Orchid, Meadow Crane’s-bill, Knapweed, Ox-eye Daisy and Self-heal.
